Martin Homan has been an ordained pastor in The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod since 1981 and has served as an Intentional Interim Pastor since 1995. He serves in pastoral size churches to very large churches in The LC – MS. He specializes in churches with multiple staffs and schools and in after pastor churches.
Martin is an active proponent of Intentional Interim Ministry in The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod and the Interim Ministry Network. He served as the newsletter editor for the LCMS Interim Ministry Conference newsletter. In the Interim Ministry Network, he participates in a number of areas. He is part of the faculty of the Network and served as the Editor for the Interim Ministry Network curriculum. He is on his second term as part of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee.
He is open to serve anywhere in the United States in LC – MS congregations as an Intentional Interim Pastor or as a consultant in any congregation. He holds Intentional Interim Pastor and Ministry Specialist credentials in the LC – MS IMC and PTS credentials in the IMN.
Martin’s credentials include a STM in Biblical Studies (1982) from Concordia Seminary (St Louis) and a ThM in Biblical Studies (1986) from the Lutheran School of Theology (Chicago). He completed Basic Education from IMN in 1998. He has been a participant in Healthy Congregations Facilitator Training (2000) and Trainer Training (2002) as well as Bridgebuilder Consultant Training (1998). He participated in the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center’s Mediation Skills Training Institute (1999). He has also been a participant in a number of Alban Institute’s workshops: Consulting for Vital Congregations I and II (2005), Dialog (2006), Leading Change (2006) and Multiple Staff (2007). |
