Since 1989, I have been serving churches as an interim pastor. A graduate of Yale Divinity School, and ordained by the United Church of Christ in 1986, I have been privileged to serve congregations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York My interim service has been in local UCC and Disciples of Christ congregations - rural, suburban and urban, as well as at the conference level and in a ecumenical university chapel setting. I love the opportunity to guide communities through change!
Currently I am a member of the IMN faculty where I enjoy sharing the theory and practice of transitional ministry, as well as the wealth of experience brought by teaching colleagues and group participants. I have recently completed a course for church consultants and facilitators and am exploring the option of church consulting. My partner, the Rev. Peter JB Carman, is an American Baptist pastor. We have two sons, Luke and Benjamin, in college.
