Gary Goldacker is an ordained Episcopal priest with over 38 years in ordained ministry, 12 of which are solely in interim ministry. In addition to being a Professional Transition Specialist, Gary serves on the faculty of the Network, training new interims. He has served parishes of all sizes, but primarily large, resource size congregations in California, Colorado, Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, Indiana, and Rhode Island. He has also done several interims in parishes recovering from clergy misconduct.
Gary loves to travel, plays tennis and golf, dabbles in photography as a hobby and enjoy the outdoors and sports. His measure of a successful interim is if the new pastor is still in place after 5 years and most everyone is happy with her/his ministry ( you can't please all of the people all of the time!) He believes that good interim work includes building community and using a sense of humor to build the bonds of trust.
