Tim has over thirty years of parish ministry experience serving rural, small family size, program size, and corporate size congregations in both ordained and non-ordained positions. He has over twenty-five years experience as a therapist/counselor, consultant, workshop leader, trainer, and coach assisting individuals, and organizations reframe problems into opportunities for growth.  Presently, he is an Intentional Interim Pastor at a church in Washington.    

 

Tim maintains a private practice in mediation and consultation that serves both the religious and secular organization.  He mediates divorce, family issues, and workplace conflicts.  His consultation work is in the area of conflict, staff relationships, team building, and the setting of individual and organizational goals and vision.  He assists the Office of the Bishop of the Northwest Washington Synod, ELCA in mediating conflict in congregations

 

Tim developed his understanding of conflict in the religious setting, with training and certification in mediation from the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center (Richard Blackburn & Bob Williamson), The Alban Institute (Dr. Speed Lees), and Healthy Congregations & Bridge-Builders programs in which he is certified to teach/lead (Dr. Peter Steinke).  He deepened his understanding of conflict in the domestic setting with certification and training in divorce and family mediation from the Northwest Family Institute (Dr. Susan Dearborn & Don Desonier JD), and Eberle & Associates (Dick Eberle).  Mediation Training Institute (Dr. Dan Dana) provided Tim’s understanding, training and certification in workplace mediation.

  

Tim is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR), the Washington Mediation Association (WMA), and the Interim Ministry Network (IMN) of which his serves on the faculty and is certified as a Professional Transitional Specialist (PTS).  Tim is also a licensed Washington State Mental Health Counselor.
