Pastor Young earned the BA from Baylor University in Waco, TX; the Bachelor of Divinity from the Welsh Baptist Theological Seminary; the PhD from the University of St Andrews in communication; He was born in Scotland, and is now a US Citisen.

 

He is an American Baptist minister.He received his initial training with IMN in 1995, and received IMN’s Professional Transition Specialist (PTS) designation in 2004. In 1997 he was awarded IMN’s designation as an Interim Ministry Specialist. He has been active in full-time transition ministry since 1995.

 

Young has served American Baptist, Southern Baptist, Disciples of Christ, and United Church of Christ Churches, and is amenable to other denominations. Is willing to serve in the US and in Europe. He speaks four languages.

 

Dr Young is married to Ruth Visser-Young. She is an R.N with an MA degree, and is presently working on the Master of Divinity Degree—she wishes to serve as a chaplain to the elderly.
