James Cotten is a lifelong Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) member and has been a minister since 1995 (ordained in May of 2001). He served two churches as a student minister while in seminary and has served as both associate and senior pastor since ordination. Since 2007, James has been an Intentional Interim Minister. He received his PTS certification in July of 2009. He is in his second year as a Doctorate of Ministry student at Louisville Presbyterian Seminary. His doctoral study is in Interim Ministry, focusing on times of crisis transitions in congregations. He is currently serving First Christian Church in Ft. Wayne, IN and will be finishing up that position in September of 2009.
James and his wife, Shelley, live in an RV. Their daughter, Tabitha, is starting Eureka College in Eureka, IL in August of 2009. |
