WHO PROVIDES THE TRAINING?

   WHAT IS THE TRAINING PROCESS?

WHO WOULD WANT TO UNDERTAKE THIS TRAINING?

Since 1992, the Center for Congregational Health® has been partnering with the Interim Ministry Network to provide training for ministers who believe God has called them to work with transitional congregations. This is a new training opportunity to help interims continue to hone their ministry skills.

Participants are placed in Colleague Learning Groups (CLG) of 5 or 6 persons, along with a group facilitator. The group then takes part in a series of five conference calls over a five month period.

Participants receive an advanced packet of instructions so that the first call clarifies the concept, establishes the assignments, and enables participants to introduce themselves to the CLG. The remaining calls take place at 30-day intervals.

Each member of the CLG drafts a design that is distributed to the other members. During the conference calls, the designs are strengthened through group critique. After revising, the participant sends a final copy of the design to all participants. The result is that each participant has five or six examples of ways that they can involve a congregation in the developmental tasks.

Intentional Interim Pastors who want to deepen their skills as a transition specialist.
