WorkingPreacher.org
We’re out to inspire better preaching! We’re getting at that by offering timely, compelling, and trustworthy content for today’s working preachers. Further, we’re doing all this for free, as a ministry of the Center for Biblical Preaching at Luther Seminary. That’s right – all these resources are free, given away to inspire more faithful and creative proclamation of the Word!

DENOMINATIONAL Associations

Center for Congregational Health
An education and consultation ministry to congregations and their leaders based at the School of Pastoral Care at The North Carolina Baptist Hospitals, Inc.

Association of United Church of Christ Intentional Interim Ministers (AUCCIIM)

AUCCIIM are Ordained Ministers in the United Church of Christ who have received specialized training to assist congregations during the "in between times" of called pastors. Depending on level of experience and training they carry the designation of Intentional Interim Minister (IIM) or Professional Transition Specialist (PTS).

Association of Presbyterian Interim Ministry Specialists (APIMS)
APIMS exists to provide support for pastors, spouses and families as well as governing bodies within the Presbyterian Church (USA) who are involved with interim ministry and to provide information regarding placement, education, certification and research in the specialized field of interim ministry.

The National Association of Lutheran Interim Pastors (NALIP), on behalf of its member Associations, the Interim Ministry Association of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (IMA -ELCA) and the Interim Ministry Conference Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (IMC-LCMS), works to:

  • Promote general awareness of Intentional Interim Ministry and its issues,
  • Advocate high performance standards in its practice,
  • Support the Church's servants called to interim ministry
  • Develop and offer programs for the training and continuing education of Lutheran Interim ministry practitioners, and
  • Exercise good stewardship of resources, and pursue sources of funding.

ABC - Interim Ministries- began its service to American Baptists in 1977 under the name, Ministers-at-Large Program. The title change came in 1997 when it expanded its vision and services. ABCIM recruits, screens and maintains a register of primarily American Baptist Pastors who have shown an interest and aptitude for interim leadership. The Area Ministers and Regional Staff, who work closest to each church, personalize our services. All the churches, that make use of the program, benefit from three outside sources: the Interim Pastor, the Regional Staff and the personnel at the national office. Such collaboration ensures support, ready responses for problem solving and the security of multiple caring ABC leaders who want the church to thrive.
