Michael Remson is a consultant, specializing in transition management, conflict management and leadership training, for synagogues and churches.

Michael earned his graduate degrees and was ordained a rabbi at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.
His consulting work uses family systems theory, learned from Rabbi Edwin Friedman and Rev. Peter Steinke. He is a facilitator for Dr. Steinke’s Healthy Congregations Workshops and a practitioner of Steinke’s Bridgebuilder approach to conflict management

After serving Jewish congregations for nearly three decades, Michael completed the training program of the Interim Ministry Network. He then pioneered the use of professional interim rabbis in the Jewish community. Having received additional training from the IMN, he has been designated as a Professional Transition Specialist, and is now on the IMN faculty.

Most recently Michael completed the Professionals-in-Residence training program in drug and alcohol treatment at the Hazelden Foundation in Minnesota.
